FixNation Needs a New Washer & Dryer

Here at FixNation, we fix a lot of homeless cats every day. A LOT. That also means we do mountains of laundry every day, in addition to all that snipping!

The washer and dryer that we’re currently using are “pre-owned” machines that were graciously donated to us. However, the machines are older and they are not commercial grade, so it’s hard for them to keep up with the volume of towels and fluffies that we need to do on a daily basis to care for the cats. in short, they keep breaking down!

We are trying to raise $2000 in order to purchase new, commercial-grade machines and have them installed.

Are you able to make a small donation today to help us towards our goal?

If the answer is yes, you can click the “Donate” button directly to your right, or you can go to our ChipIn page. Our ChipIn page shows how much we’re tracking against our total amount, so we can see how close we’re getting to our goal. There are also other credit card payment options for you there to make it easy (Visa, MC, Amex, Discover). All donations are fully tax-deductible since we’re a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

While we’re at it, we’d also like to thank one of our volunteers, Patty Peirce, who has single-handedly been raising $ in support of our new washer and dryer. Patty also steps in and does our laundry for us whenever our machines break…which means she comes over in the morning and then couriers loads back and forth all day to us! Talk about a rock star. The FixNation staff and the kitties of LA thank you, Patty!

UPDATE:

As of Tuesday, July 27th, we hit our mark and reached our $2k goal! We’re thrilled and humbled at the outpouring of support and generosity by so many people. Thanks you all so very much! We’re going to purchase the new commercial washer and dryer next week for the clinic, and we’ll post some pictures here of the highly anticipated machines in action. Thanks again everyone!!!
