Karn Myers
Co-Founder & Executive Director

Karn co-founded FixNation with husband, Mark Dodge.  She has extensive experience in the business world, having served as executive assistant to Chief Executives in various industries, including international matters.  Her time in college, officer training at First Interstate Bank and real estate license school, together with her experience in executive support, office management and office technology, set Karn up ideally to become Chief Operating Officer (Day-to-Day Clinic Manager) and Chief Financial Officer of FixNation, where she has served full-time since operations were launched in January of 2007.

Kate Creighton, DVM
Medical Director

Dr. Creighton serves as FixNation’s Chief Medical Officer, overseeing all matters relating to the veterinary services offered, primarily to surgically sterilize all the cats that come in to the facility, but also to provide an array of medications and collateral one-time medical services. She has 14 years of experience since graduation from UC Davis veterinary school, after which Dr. Creighton trained at spay-neuter clinics around the country, in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Utah.  Her undergraduate degree came from University of Wisconsin, and before vet school this led to an MS in Immunology, and 5 years of teaching anatomy, physiology and biochemistry.

Elizabeth (Liz) Cava
Director of TNR Education

Liz brings more than 15 years of experience from Walt Disney Imagineering, Research and Development, where she was executive assistant to the head environmental scientist and vice president of Research & Development, gaining extensive research and coordination skills.  Liz began volunteering with TNR efforts alongside FixNation founders in October 1999, coordinating the Best Friends Catnippers clinics for 10 years.  Based upon her experience with TNR, and her growing interest in helping community cats, she joined FixNation when it was launched in January of 2007 and has since become an expert in her field.

Dali Colorado
Office Manager

Dali comes to FixNation with over 10 years of management experience in the marketing research and music industries.  A lifelong animal lover, in 2010 she made the decision to follow her heart and re-focus her career on animal welfare.  She began her work at FixNation as a volunteer and quickly moved into a full-time staff position as our indispensable Office Manager and Volunteer Coordinator.  In her spare time, Dali performs TNR in her Highland Park neighborhood, educating her neighbors and the community at large about the benefits TNR and FixNation can provide for homeless and feral cats.
