Here is the latest news, press and events for FixNation and the TNR movement.

FixNation featured in award-winning documentary, Crazy Cat Lady

‘Crazy Cat Lady’ is a feature-length documentary focused on the feral cat crisis in Los Angeles, and the dedicated – though at times mischaracterized – volunteers who are on the front lines of rescue, TNR (trap, neuter, return), fostering/adoption and more. These same animal-lovers include college professors, young students, CPAs, veterinarians who offer pro-bono services, philanthropists, and well-meaning “cat collectors” -aka-hoarders-aka- “Crazy Cat Ladies” (and gentlemen). There are estimated to be 3,000,000 feral cats in L.A. and due to an injunction that currently prohibits government funding to be utilized for spaying/neutering/feline-population control, the onus is solely on these volunteers [...]

I love animals and I needed a new job since I got fired from my last one so today I got a job as a vet at FIXNATION. This was an amazing experience and I helped so many homeless cats. Watch until the end to see how you can get a chance to have me come to your front door and surprise you with a new kitten or cat of your own.

Los Angeles City Moving Ahead on TNR

At long last the City of L.A. is taking another big step in the effort to end the court injunction against supporting Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) within the city limits. FixNation supporters may recall that the City held a big public hearing back in October 2019 in Highland Park to kick off the effort to prepare the final document to complete the court- and state law-required Environmental Impact Report on the Citywide Cat Program, the proposal put together by the Department of Animal Services to reintroduce TNR to its arsenal of tools to deal with pet overpopulation.  Since then, the City and [...]
