FixNation is a non-profit organization operating the only free, full-time spay/neuter clinic in Los Angeles for homeless, stray and feral cats. We provide training and resources for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, and also provide reduced rate spay/neuter services for tame companion cats.
Our primary mission is to reduce the population of homeless cats by sterilizing as many as possible. In addition, by consistently demonstrating the effectiveness of Trap-Neuter-Return, we seek to bring about changes in public policy so that TNR becomes the official city-wide approach to homeless cat management in Los Angeles.
Our hard work cannot be done without your generous contributions. Our passion to bring about the day of No More Homeless Cats in Los Angeles is matched only by our passion to reward your charity with genuine results. All donations are fully tax-deductible, as we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Thank you for your generosity.
We offer free spay/neuter services for homeless, stray and feral cats, provide reduced rate services for tame cats and serve as a one-stop-shop for TNR.

A young couple, James O’Neel and Justine Hong, came in to FixNation recently for trap training classes. They had an orange tabby cat who needed to be TNR’d. This orange girl constantly hung out on the top of a concrete wall in between their condo yard and the yard next door. According to James and Justine, this orange kitty would not come down onto the ground for anything! They only ever saw her up on the wall. She was very skittish and very elusive.

Here at FixNation, we fix a lot of homeless cats every day. A LOT. That also means we do mountains of laundry every day, in addition to all that snipping!
The washer and dryer that we’re currently using are “pre-owned” machines that were graciously donated to us. However, the machines are older and they are not commercial grade, so it’s hard for them to keep up with the volume of towels and fluffies that we need to do on a daily basis to care for the cats. in short, they keep …
Cats come in a wide variety of breeds and colors. Homeless cats especially can be a motley sort, generally being the offspring of many different kinds of breeds all intermingling. At our morning check-in, we ask trappers to list each cat’s color and breed, as these descriptions help us keep accountability for the cat as he/she goes through our clinic for the day. Here are some common color, breed descriptions, and terms that you may hear us use.

For almost ten years now, Disneyland has worked together with Best Friends Catnippers and FixNation to successfully Trap-Neuter-Return these feline friends. In return, the cats do their part by keeping the rodent population in the park down. Watch out Mickey Mouse!

Early one morning, Charlie was transported to FixNation, along with ten other feral cats from our colony. We knew he was in bad shape just by looking at him. By mid-morning, we received a phone call from the FixNation staff. We were expecting to hear that Charlie may need to be humanely euthanized. Instead, much to our surprise and absolute delight, the amazing medical team at FixNation had called to say that the abnormality on Charlie’s head was not due to a tumor or growth as …
