Fees for Community Cats
FixNation provides free spay and neuter services to homeless, stray, and community cats to support trap-neuter-return across Los Angeles City and County. Free services and low-cost optional fees for community cats and kittens are as follows (effective July 1, 2024):
- Spay (female): Free
- Neuter (male): Free
(All spay/neuter services include pain meds, basic antibiotics and fluids) - Eartip: Free
- Flea Treatment: Free
- Rabies Vaccine: Free
- FVRCP Vaccine Free:
- Deworming (only as needed): Free
Services with no additional charge:
- Cryptorchid (males) – Inguinal or Abdominal
- Pregnant
- In-Heat
- Umbilical Hernia Repair
Services with additional charge:
- Convenia Antibiotic Injection: $35
(Must be pre-authorized at check-in and prescribed by the veterinarian) - Microchip: $20
Free spay/neuter of community cats is provided by appointment only. To request an appointment, individuals must first complete a free training session with FixNation to become an approved trapper. This training will prepare you to safely trap and transport cats before and after surgery.
Note: Payment is due the day services are performed. We accept cash, debit and credit cards. We do not accept checks. The Community Cat TNR program is not for pets, rescue/foster cats or other tame cats. It is specifically for the homeless, feral, and stray cats in our community who do not have a proper home.
