Name: Joseph D. Federico
About: Born in Ohio, Schooled in Florida, I have lived in Southern California since 1978
City and neighborhood: Altadena, California has been my home over the last 22 years. It’s a little more wild than some of the other towns nearby like Pasadena and Arcadia, but it is full of incredibly warm and helpful neighbors that are always nearby. It’s because we have such a great community that we all join together to help the feral cats find safety and population control.
Years volunteering at FixNation: I have only recently found my way to FixNation this year and have wanted to volunteer to be a part of their family from the very first meeting. It was truly love at first sight and I am so grateful that they took me in.
What brought you to want to volunteer for FixNation: After trapping several cats and bringing them to FixNation, I was in awe of their great abilities and the miraculous work they do every day that they are open. I am still just as awe stricken each and every morning that I enter the door.
What is your favorite thing about volunteering at FixNation: It’s the team and the encouragement that cheers each other on to championship. It’s the sharing of everything that matters to the health and safety of the most precious little creatures in the world.
