We were invited to participate in Star Eco Station’s Children’s Earth Day on April 21, 2013 in Culver City. This was their 13th year celebrating Earth Day with a special emphasis on children and what they could do to help live a more “green” lifestyle and protect the earth and it’s resources. There were children of all ages enjoying the festivities and the beautiful day.
Our booth’s banner of kittens and cats brought many smiling faces inquiring as to our services. We took appointments, handed out fliers and spoke to them about the importance of having our pets spayed and neutered. For the ones who already had their pets spayed and/or neutered, we asked if they were interested in low-cost vaccinations and other services as provided by our Sunday Wellness Clinics. We had many interested pet owners stop by and a few “friends” who already knew Fixnation and had used our services previously.
We were flanked by Marine Mammal Care Center of San Pedro and Planet Aid. Across from our booth, was The Paw Project of Hollywood. They are celebrating their tenth year of banning the de-clawing of cats. People were very friendly and inquisitive. There were rides, activities, live music and food.
The staff of Star Eco Station extended their gratitude to us for participating in this event. We were also grateful to be a part of the celebration and bring the knowledge of our services to the community.
