One Man, One Hundred Cats

Back in March, 2011, Doug Christensen filled out an application for help for the Los Alamitos "racetrack kitties." Doug was trying to get some help for the cats and kittens at the racetrack. He estimated there might be as many as 100 cats on site. Doug had done his research and found FixNation, where he learned about our life-based program for stray and homeless cats, which provides free spay/neuter, vaccinations, flea treatment, and eartipping. Yuki’s Story of Courage

Camouflaged by darkness, a small black cat limped out from under a fence into the parking area of an industrial site. The site was also the location of a Trap-Neuter-Return project, organized by Best Friends Animal Society. The homeless and feral cats trapped at this site were bound for FixNation, where the trapped cats would be spayed, neutered, receive rabies and distemper shots and finally eartipped. The Ultimate Fairy Tale: Meet Prince Scrappy Cat

Where There’s a Will, There’s a Way

A young couple, James O'Neel and Justine Hong, came in to FixNation recently for trap training classes. They had an orange tabby cat who needed to be TNR'd. This orange girl constantly hung out on the top of a concrete wall in between their condo yard and the yard next door. Charlie the Head Wound Wonder!

A Miracle Reunion: The Refreshing Story of Lula the Cat

After seeing a little black tuxedo cat in an apartment parking lot for many months...hungry, thirsty, cold and battered by tenants and their dogs, Lisa Garcia decided it was high time to bring this baby in. Meet Ember, a little rescue from the Station Fires

The Station Fire is the largest fire southern California has seen in over 100 years. The fire raged across La Canada, Pasadena and surrounding areas north of Los Angeles in August and September of this year, and destroyed over 140,000 acres of land and hundreds of homes. Two firefighters lost their lives, and countless animals were displaced and killed during the horrific inferno. It took until mid October to fully contain the blaze.
