But that’s little comfort to the FixNation family as we grapple with the departure of Derek Turner, an exceptional and truly devoted veterinarian who recently hung up his surgical scrubs for good. Just how devoted was he? For the third consecutive year, FixNation was invited to participate in the Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration at the historic Hollywood Forever Cemetery on October 27. Ever since we began working with the cemetery to fix their resident cat colony, we have been the only non-profit to have an altar at this increasingly popular event.  With an estimated 20,000 visitors, this year’s celebration smashed previous attendance records, and we couldn’t be more pleased with the amount of visitors we had.
