After nearly 30 years (and more than 300,000 cats!), FixNation’s programs have proven that
FREE spay/neuter services and community engagement are the only effective means for
humanely managing LA’s community cat population.
Our flagship clinic on Clybourn Avenue in Los Angeles closed its doors in January 2025 and our
highly successful, all-volunteer Catnippers program – which ran from 1999 until 2017 – has
ended as well. Nonetheless, our pioneering nonprofit is still as active as ever!
FixNation is busy nurturing new alliances, brainstorming new initiatives and raising funds to
cover the ever-rising costs of high-volume, high-quality spay/neuter services. We are excited to
expand our compassionate mission by supporting other nonprofit clinics that replicate our work.
Our greatest priority has always been the welfare of community cats, particularly in respect to
free spay/neuter services, flea treatment and vaccines. We also want to continue empowering
local residents to help homeless kitties by providing free TNR training and loaner traps.
We sincerely thank our former Catsnippers volunteers for their dedication to improving the lives
of homeless cats. We also want to thank our generous supporters for believing in what we do
and for your understanding, patience and ongoing support. We’re all in this together!
