However rare, vaccine reactions can occur and you should be aware of what is normal as well as the possible adverse reactions. Normal Reactions: Some puppies and kittens may run a mild fever (102-104 degrees), be slightly lethargic, grumpy, and not eat well for 36-48 hours following vaccination. This is a normal response-their immune system is working to process the vaccine. It [...]

The cat who came home

2013-12-18T13:42:08-08:00 December 12th, 2013|Happy Tails|

A handsome Russian blue came into FixNation as part of a large-scale T-N-R effort, a friendly boy who had recently joined a caretakers’ colony. Blue, as she’d been calling him, had shown up about a month ago, and usually came by for dinner nightly. The trapper resolved to find him a new home, and brought him into FixNation for neutering before putting him up for adoption. To everyone’s surprise, Blue was not only already neutered but also microchipped…and his name was Max, [...]

Do you know the recommended feline vaccine protocol?

It is important to remember that some diseases are easier to vaccinate against that others, and that some vaccines confer a greater level of immunity against disease [...]
